If you’ve read my about me section on my page, you know that I love Jesus. I am a Christian, I attend Bible college, I share the Gospel, and I plan on being a missionary in South America. There is this quote by Penn Jillette, a well known Atheist, where he says,
” How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible, and not tell them that? If I believed, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that a truck was coming at you and you didn’t believe it, that truck was bearing down on you, there’s a certain point where I tackle you. This is more important than that.”
I believe that God is the sovereign ruler of the Earth, that He created all thing, and everyone, and he is still working in our world today. When God created the world, it was perfect, without sin or wrongdoing. We were able to walk with God, and we had a perfect relationship with our Creator. Unfortunately, humankind rebelled, and we were separated from God, but God promised that he would provide a way out, and He did. God sent his son, Jesus Christ, as a perfect sacrifice for your sins, so that through Him you might have eternal life. Jesus was perfect, and died a gruesome death on a wooden cross with nails through his hands and his feet, so that criminals like you and me could be reunited with God.
The Good News of the Gospel message is that Jesus didn’t stay dead, He rose from the grave, and is back with the Father in heaven, and someday, He will be coming back to take His followers Home to Heaven.
You have a decision now? You can either choose to accept and believe, gaining eternal life; or you can choose to walk away, staying dead and on a path for Hell. There’s a quote by a man who did a great work for slaves in England, his name was William Wilberforce, and he said: “You can choose to look the other way, but you can never say I did not know.”
